Long term care insurance is designed to cover the costs of long term care at home or in a nursing home. It should be renamed “Bathing and Toileting Insurance”!

1. When you get to the point where you require care, would you prefer to be in your own home or in a facility?
   
   Most people want to remain in their own home as long as possible
   having professional care costs money.
   
   

2. When it is necessary to move into a facility, would you prefer to be in your old neighbourhood?
   
   If you remain in your old neighbourhood your friends and relatives
   can come and visit more easily.
   
   

3. If you need care do you want your children to bathe you and help you use the toilet?
   
   Personally I would not wish to see my parents naked nor do I wish
   my children to see me naked
